Expect the Unexpected
Given the frenzied pace of modern life, it is increasingly rare to find a place or the time for quiet and self-reflection. At Ignatius House Retreat Center, our Silent Retreats provide a spiritual vacation away from the noise and chaos of everyday life. Whether you have a specific problem to solve, decision to make, or experience to work through, our silent retreats provide an opportunity to meditate, contemplate and pray. They help you connect more deeply with your faith, your spiritual journey and your relationship with God. Whatever your reason for attending a retreat, our retreat directors will tell you, “Expect the unexpected!”

Ignatius House Retreat Center Offers

All of our Weekend Retreats and Days of Reflection are silent unless otherwise noted on our schedule. They are led by a spiritual director and based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola.  Whether you come for the day or the weekend, or even longer, you will find that here you can retreat, reflect and reignite your faith and personal relationship with God.

Why Silence?
For those who have never experienced a silent retreat, the idea of complete silence may seem intimidating and oppressive. But the experience is quite the opposite. Within silence is the opportunity to “actively” listen for the voice of God and his will for your life. Our past retreatants will tell you themselves that during their stay with us they have benefited from deep and meaningful spiritual reflection and discovery.
