Retreat, Reflect and Reignite Your Faith and Spiritual Journey!
At Ignatius House Retreat Center, our mission is to provide individuals of all faiths with the perfect place to take a spiritual vacation. Our Silent Weekend Retreats and Days of Reflection are based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and are designed to provide retreat and spiritual renewal for those seeking to discover God’s will in their lives.
Although some may find the idea of silent retreat intimidating and potentially oppressive, you’ll find that really isn’t true. Silent retreat provides a profound opportunity for deep and meaningful self-reflection and spiritual discovery. In silence, you can hear yourself think. In silence, you can “actively” listen. And, in silence you can strip away the distractions of the outside world to reflect, pray and connect with God in a way you often can’t in your daily life.
At Ignatius House Retreat Center, we offer a variety of Silent Weekend Retreats and single Days of Reflection throughout the year. We’ve provided a brief description below but be sure to visit our Retreat Schedule for specific details, dates and to register.
Weekend Silent Retreats
Our Weekend Silent Retreats begin on Thursday or Friday evening and end after the noon lunch on Sunday. Every Silent Retreat is directed by a certified spiritual director or trained retreat director. Throughout the weekend, our directors present a series of presentations designed to assist you with your meditation, reflection, and spiritual journey. Attendance at presentations is optional but encouraged. Over the weekend there are also opportunities to participate in the liturgy, group prayer, and/or speak to a Spiritual Director. If you prefer complete solitude, the nature trails, reflection areas, and retreat center host numerous opportunities to be alone with yourself and God. See our Retreat Schedule for dates and times and to register.
Special Audience Retreats
Throughout the year Ignatius House also offers weekend Silent Retreats with specific audiences in mind. During these times, our facilities are designated for these specific audiences only. Retreats begin on Friday at 6 pm and end on Sunday at 1 pm unless otherwise noted. Each retreat contains periods of silence, group discussion, and conversation. Participation in group sessions and presentations are optional.
