RETREATS AT IGNATIUS HOUSE
All retreats at Ignatius House Retreat Center are based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. A compilation of meditations, prayers, and contemplative practices, these exercises are the foundation of Ignatian Spirituality. Developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, they help people to consider creation, sin, repentance, and redemption while providing them with an opportunity for discernment and surrender to God’s great plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
All retreats are silent, unless otherwise noted. They are directed by a certified spiritual director who provides a series of presentations designed to assist you with your meditation, reflection, and spiritual journey. Attendance at presentations is optional but encouraged. There are opportunities for participation in the liturgy, group prayer, and spiritual direction. If you prefer complete solitude, the nature trails, reflection areas, and retreat center host numerous opportunities to be alone with yourself and God.
Accommodations: Feature private rooms and baths. All meals are included.
Details: Check in is between 5 and 6 p.m. on the first day of the designated retreat. A reception is held to welcome you and dinner is served at 7 p.m. The retreat ends after mass and the noon meal on the last day.
Recommended Donation: Because Ignatius House receives no Sustaining funds from the Archdiocese of Atlanta or the Jesuit Province, we rely on retreat contributions to cover the operating expenses related to our retreats. The cost to Ignatius House for a 2-night retreat is $250 and for a 3-night retreat $300. At the conclusion of the retreat you will be asked to make a contribution to help cover these costs. Your payment can be made in full or through a monthly, quarterly or semi-annual pledge. Installments can be made by cash, check or credit card. Many of our retreatants will make a pledge of $25 for 10 months or $30 for 10 months depending on the retreat they attend. Because our mission is to make our retreats available to all regardless of their financial ability to pay, no person will ever be turned away. (All donations above $50 per night are tax-deductible). A $50 room deposit is required at the time of your registration. Room deposits are nonrefundable but transferable for up to 1 year if Ignatius House is notified of your cancellation by the day of your retreat.
