Ignatius House serves as a place to listen and move to silent meditation;
but, as an organization, we do not isolate ourselves. We're proud
to maintain strong community relations with people from all faiths,
not only in the greater Atlanta area, but throughout the Southeast.
This section highlights all the latest events regarding retreats,
our staff and our continually expanding facilities.
New at Ignatius House
Did you know that Ignatius house is currently celebrating our 49 ½ birthday?
We are just around the corner from the big 50 and we're not slowing down! The last 10 years have seen two phases of expansion, with the dining room renovation and the building of the St. Ignatius Chapel. We are proud to announce, with the recent permitting approval by the City of Sandy Springs, that phase three is now under way.
We plan to construct a new resource/administration building that will house the staff offices, give the bookstore a permanent space and enable the main retreat building to be a place of silence, as well as make renovations to the main retreat building to have two fully handicapped-accessible rooms and a more welcoming lobby space. We cannot do this without your support. In the coming months, we'll be kicking off a capital campaign to help us make this third phase a reality and get our next 50 years off to a blazing start!
