“Come rest awhile” is an invitation Jesus extends often
and to all. A retreat provides quiet, restful time that you can
spend listening to God and experiencing God’s presence in your
life. A retreat builds the foundation for an awareness of God’s
invitation to “Come follow me” and your considered free
choice as to how you will respond.
That said, expect the unexpected. The environment and surroundings
are quiet and peaceful, but where God leads you will be uniquely
an individual experience. Think of God as the vacation director
who will lead you personally through a retreat vacation. It will
be different. And it will probably change how you think about prayer
altogether.
