Ashley Buffington is a Certified Spiritual Director (Zeitgeist Atlanta) and a licensed therapist, specializing in anxiety, trauma, and addiction. In 2009, she received her Master of Science in community counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga. One day in class in 2008, Ashley had an encounter with God that changed the trajectory of her faith, as well as informed how she would provide therapy. She was introduced to the mystics and contemplative spirituality in 2010, as well as the writings of Richard Rohr and Thomas Keating. These experiences influenced her decision to participate in and complete the Contemplative Leaders in Action program (CLA) at Ignatius House from 2014-2016. Ashley also facilitates Be Still and Know, an anxiety support group with an emphasis on contemplative practices to help others invite Stillness and Trust into their lives on a regular basis.
