Reflect with heart, mind, and soul this Holy Week on God’s loving invitation to you. Spend a few moments each day in prayer.
Pray the Daily Examen prayer by St. Ignatius. Try this special adaptation for Holy Week, by Joseph Tetlow, SJ, found at IgnatianSpirituality.com – a service of Loyola Press.
What is it about suffering that unites us to Christ? Becky Eldredge, author and spiritual director, offers a 3-minute reflection on video. Visit Jesuits.org for more short videos like this.
Whether you offer your time to someone in need or donate to a charitable program of Ignatius House, what can you offer that you haven’t yet this season? Spiritual and Corporal works of mercy are forms of prayer.
Attend a Holy Thursday Mass. If you can’t, read John 13 and reflect on Christ’s final request of his disciples: the New Commandment that is our Golden Rule.
Pray the Stations of the Cross. If you’re unable to leave home or attend a service at your local parish, pray the Stations at Ignatius House virtually on video.
“Peace I leave with you…” Spend time with Christ’s parting words to his disciples in John 14:1-15. What meaning do they hold for you? How do they make you feel?
Give praise! Embrace the joy that is Christ’s resurrection and defeat over death — possible for any one of us. If you can’t attend a service in person, seek one online, TV, or radio, or read the Easter Sunday Scripture here.
Due to COVID prevention measures and restricted occupancy, Holy Week attendance at Ignatius House is limited to retreatants and invited guests. If you are unable to attend, we recommend this list of virtual services to be held across the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta.
We look forward to welcoming more next year. Thank you for understanding.
