2-Night Retreat: Art as Prayer – Making Holy Reminders
November 19 @ 6:00 pm - November 21 @ 12:00 pm$325
Directed by Terresa Ford, MFA
Art as Prayer is a 2-night silent retreat that explores the use of our God given imagination to create “Holy Reminders.” Holy Reminders are images and icons familiar to our Catholic sensibilities that bring us in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Each participant will create one to two Holy Reminders, made of wood and acrylic paint, over the course of the weekend to take home with them. Participants are encouraged to bring an object of great spiritual significance to incorporate into the art work. Mass will be offered for those interested. Materials will be provided. Space is limited to 15 participants.
This is a silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted.
