2-Night Retreat: Lord, Teach Us to Pray
July 17 @ 6:00 pm - July 19 @ 12:00 pm$295
How do you stay spiritually connected in a socially distant world? Although our experience of church has been greatly impacted by this pandemic, we’ve also been given an invitation to meet God precisely where we are – in our home, in the solitude, in the questions and longings of our heart. As St. Ignatius reminds us, “the Creator deals directly with the creature.” On this retreat, reflect on the ways God invites you into your own inner chapel, the sacred space where you can encounter God, and discover new and creative ways of connecting with God and praying with your life.
This is a silent retreat.
Retreatants are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted.
Sarah Otto, M.Div. serves on the Pastoral Team at Ignatius House. She studied theology as both an undergrad and graduate student, receiving her Master of Divinity from Boston College. Her passion has focused on the intersection of faith and justice, which led her to study in El Salvador. Sarah spent a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, serving men and women experiencing homelessness in Portland, OR. Sarah has worked as a hospital and prison chaplain and most recently worked in college campus ministry for five years, both at Providence College and as director of a Newman Catholic Center in Chico, CA. As a young mom, Sarah is particularly passionate about ministering to women and families but continues to enjoy helping people discern how to live a faith that does justice, as well as discovering the unique and creative ways God works in everyone.
