Two Paths to Contemplative Prayer: Spiritual Wisdom from St. Ignatius and Thomas Merton
This retreat is an invitation to draw closer to God through silent, restful prayer, and contemplation — the experience of encountering God through love. During our time together we will look at two great teachers of Christian spirituality: St. Ignatius of Loyola and Thomas Merton, exploring how they offer two different, but complementary, approaches to contemplation. Ignatius and Merton together invite us to find God in all things, to be still and know, and to discover the love of the Holy Spirit hidden in our hearts.
This is a silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted.
