2-Night Women’s Retreat: Service or Prayer, a Dilemma for 21st Century Women
March 18, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - March 20, 2022 @ 1:00 pm$305
Directed by Sr. Susan Arcaro, r.c.
Jesus tenderly invites us to “choose the better part” – a joyful moment of intimacy with Him that flows naturally into loving service. During this retreat, we sit at Our Lord’s feet as had Mary to listen to His word in order to deepen our devotion, strengthen our service, and do both with less stress and with greater joy. “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World” by Joanna Weaver is a resource.
This is a silent retreat. Guests are expected to maintain a sacred silence throughout the retreat, including at meals, unless otherwise noted.
Sister Susan Arcaro, r.c. shares the Mission of the Cenacle Sisters with adults at Ignatius House and in parishes of the Archdiocese of Atlanta as a spiritual director, retreat director, educator and facilitator of faith enrichment programs. She serves as an adjunct lecturer in Spring Hill College’s Certificate in Spiritual Direction program, a two-year program for women and men discerning a Call to the ministry of spiritual direction. Her special interests include RCIA, Church History, children’s spirituality and sacred liturgy. She holds a B.A. in Education from Assumption College, Worchester, MA, and M.A. in Spirituality and Spiritual Direction from Fordham University and a Diploma from Association Montessori Internationale.
