Parents’ Morning Out: The Wisdom of the Child
March 20 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$25
Directed by Andy Otto, MA
Jesus drew attention to children and called his followers to be like little children. Children have a lot of wisdom, often teaching us adults lessons about love, self-acceptance, generosity, kindness, and God. It’s no surprise God came to earth as a little child. Drawing from Pope Francis’ Amoris Laetitia and letters written by children to the pope, we will explore the wisdom children have to offer us grown-ups and how they reveal God in surprising ways.
Gathering will be at 9:00 am with a continental breakfast in the Dining Room. The program will move to the Chapel for prayer, spiritual contemplation and quiet time, and then if you choose, you may wander the beautiful grounds of Ignatius House — including woodlands and trails, riverfront decks, outdoor chapel and resting places. The Morning concludes at approximately 12:00 pm. Space is limited, so register early!
Free on-site childcare, compliments of Holy Spirit Preschool. If you need childcare, complete the registration form (below), then email firstname.lastname@example.org with your child’s name, age, and any allergies.
