
Start of Enrichment Course: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

This 8-week course runs from September 13 – November 1, 2022. Beginners and experienced are welcome.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training program* systematically teaches the practice of mindfulness and its application to stress reduction, self-reflection and the mobilization of inner resources to support health, healing, cognitive performance and personal growth. The course is modeled on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the Center for Mindfulness in the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
What’s included: Eight 2.5-hour sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm – 8:30 pm, September 13 – November 1, 2022; One 7-hour retreat on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 8.30am to 3.30pm (details forthcoming); all program handouts, and audio recordings.
Mark Dannenfelser, MA, LPC is Founding Director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta. He is a Certified MBSR Teacher (Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-GA), a Certified Spiritual Director (Spring Hill College), and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). Mark is Adjunct Lecturer in the Graduate Theology program at Spring Hill College and is the Contemplative Outreach commissioned presenter of the Centering Prayer method for the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory University.
