The Living Body: An Ignatian Summer Yoga Retreat

What if the body is not a distraction from prayer, but its dwelling place?

Rooted in Ignatian Spirituality and the early Christian understanding of sōma, this Summer Retreat invites participants into a deeply embodied experience of God’s indwelling life. Drawing from Scripture, silence, gentle movement, breath, and prayerful awareness, we will explore the body as Paul named it: a living temple of the Holy Spirit.

This retreat offers a contemplative re-imagining of practices often labeled “East” and beliefs often confined to the “West,” revealing a unified Christian vision where God meets us in flesh, breath, desire, and rest. Through Ignatian reflection and embodied prayer, participants will learn to listen to the movements of the Spirit as they arise within the living body.

Whether you come longing for healing, deeper discernment, or a renewed relationship with God, this retreat creates space to encounter the sacred already present within you.

This is a silent retreat. Guests will be supported in keeping a sacred silence throughout the weekend, including at meals.

About Kimberly (Kimi) Nettuno, MTS, RYT

Kimberly (Kimi) Nettuno, MTS, RYT, journeys with others in the practices of yoga, meditation, discernment, and spiritual direction. She combines yoga methodology with Christian prayer and Ignatian discernment to expand the practitioner's relationship with God by deepening their connection with themselves. With over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training, a certification in Ignatian Spiritual Direction, and a master’s degree in Theological Studies, Kimi invites others to journey within where God's presence resides. She strives to share with every practitioner this truth that she has come to embrace: You are beautifully made. No life experience or circumstance is wasted. You are the living knowledge of God, for He created you for a purpose and out of His desire to be in loving relationship with you. When she is not admiring the awe of God's work in another, she loves to encounter His loving, creative presence surrounded by her family as they work and play on their farm.
