Befriending Surrender: The Art of Letting Go and Letting God — an Art and Journaling Weekend Retreat

Many of us want to live spiritually free lives, but we hold on to expectations, hurts, resentments, or narratives that get in the way of God's dream for us. This retreat will look at the Ignatian practice of detachment as it applies to our lives. We will used practices such as imaginative prayer, visio divina, and SoulCollage® card making, and reflective journaling to look at the ways we can "let go and let God." No artistic skills needed, just an open heart.

This is a silent retreat. Guests will be supported in keeping a sacred silence throughout the weekend, including at meals. There will be periods of discussion and dialogue when prompted by the retreat director.
