RegisterThis 3-hour workshop will introduce you to the practice of mindfulness meditation which uses evidence-based mind-body practices, informed by ancient wisdom traditions and supported by modern scientific research, to decrease distraction and stress, and help increase optimal functioning. The workshop will combine brief presentations, discussions, and short mindfulness practices.
Note: All participants will have the option to participate or to refrain from certain exercises according to their own comfort and safety levels.

About Mark Dannenfelser, MA, LPC
Mark Dannenfelser is the founding director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta (2009). He is the Contemplative Outreach Commissioned Presenter of the Centering Prayer Method for the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory University, and is also the Director of Faith Formation for Adults at Our Lady of the Assumption RC Church. He is the adjunct lecturer in the School of Theology and Ministry at Spring Hill College. Mark is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Contemplative Outreach Commissioned Presenter of the Centering Prayer Method, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), and a Certified Spiritual Director.
