This retreat invites us to deepen our prayer through the physical expressions of faith inspired by two great saints: St. Dominic and St. Ignatius of Loyola. Both understood the importance of engaging our hearts, minds, and bodies to foster intimacy with God.
St. Ignatius, in his Spiritual Exercises, emphasizes intentional preparation for prayer, guiding us into quiet reflection and openness to God. St. Dominic offers nine prayer postures that demonstrate prayer as a full-bodied, lived response to God.
We’ll explore how these approaches can enrich our daily prayer, helping us embody our faith and deepen our connection to God. By integrating Ignatian preparation and Dominican postures, we’ll discover practical ways to live a more mindful, intentional, and embodied prayer life, engaging our whole being—heart, soul, mind, and body—in response to God’s invitation.
Space is limited for this retreat.
About Kimi Nettuno, MTS, RYT
Kimberly (Kimi) Nettuno, MTS, RYT, journeys with others in the practices of yoga, meditation, discernment, and spiritual direction. She combines yoga methodology with Christian prayer and Ignatian discernment to expand the practitioner’s relationship with God by deepening their connection with themselves. With over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training, a certification in Ignatian Spiritual Direction, and a master’s degree in Theological Studies, Kimi invites others to journey within where God’s presence resides. She strives to share with every practitioner this truth that she has come to embrace: You are beautifully made. No life experience or circumstance is wasted. You are the living knowledge of God, for He created you for a purpose and out of His desire to be in loving relationship with you. When she is not admiring the awe of God’s work in another, she loves to encounter His loving, creative presence surrounded by her family as they work and play on their farm.
